Ngoliba, Kenya

Hey everyone! Devon and I are still in Ngoliba at Harvest Blessing Centre until the beginning of January. We’re still spending lots of time with the kids and helping out as we can around the compound. It’s a beautiful area.

This past Sunday, Devon and I had a chance to teach to the small congregation that meets at the centre we’re staying at. Considering it was our first time teaching at a Sunday morning service, we were pretty nervous! But it went well and we feel blessed and encouraged to have been able to serve in that way. Life right now is all about new things!

The “Father and Mother”, Reuben and Charity, have been amazing to work with. The centre has been up and running for about three years and they’ve been there from the start, along with some other staff. And the children! Very energetic and very fun, Devon and I have never experienced being with so many attention starved children every day! It’s been such a positive and stretching experience, being able to pour into these childrens lives and spend time with them. God has been answering our prayers. We said from the beginning our desire was to minister, serve, and build relationships, and here we are, doing just that. Amen!

Looking back over everything so far, I am reminded of how faithful God has been. This is what I spoke on this Sunday, and as I shared our testimony I felt like what I was saying was for me. Looking at everything in a big picture reminded me of how sovereign and in control God has been, and how much He has blessed us. Devon then touched on how God can use us in our weaknesses, and that has been so true for us. Really, we’re just two nobody’s that somehow God has been able to use for his glory and benefit. It’s honoring and humbling to be in this place at this point of our lives.

We’re still meeting so many people, building so many relationships, and being continually blessed, provided for, and taken care of. God has aligned everything to fit into His plan. Mungu Ne Mwema! God is good.

I think that’s all for now, but as usual I really just skimmed the surface. I hope you are able to be blessed as you read about our experiences.

Love and blessings.
